New Hampshire Senate District 10
Today is the eighth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. Events in New York, Washington, D.C., and Shanksville, Penn. will mark this somber occasion.
Let us take a moment to honor the 2,752 who lost their lives, and pay tribute to the volunteer spirit of the hundreds of emergency workers who helped rescue thousands from the towers and recover bodies from the burning wreckage.
And let us not forget the families who grieve for the loss of their loved ones. As a mother, daughter and sister, my heart goes out to all those courageous people who have been asked to go one with their lives in spite of the suffering they have endured.
Today is a day to to lend a hand, reflect on the importance of our loved ones and continue our work in making our community, and all communities in this wonderful country, peaceful and safe for now and in the future.
